"Building People - In Purpose - On Purpose"
"Building People - In Purpose - On Purpose"

For more than 40 years, I built my career in the utility industry, serving in positions ranging from Meter Reader and Lineman to Senior Maintenance Inspector.
Throughout those decades, I learned the value of discipline, reliability, safety, and service. Rain, snow, holidays, and long hours—it didn't matter. I showed up and got the job done.
When I retired, I expected life to slow down. What I didn't expect was the desire to continue contributing, learning, and making a difference. Retirement gave me time to reflect, but it also reminded me that purpose doesn't retire.
That realization led me to the Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) industry.
Today, I serve as a Professional NEMT Driver where I assist patients who depend on safe, reliable transportation to medical appointments, treatments, and healthcare services. The work requires professionalism, compassion, attention to detail, and a commitment to serving people with dignity and respect.
My transition into NEMT opened my eyes to an industry that many people know little about but that plays a critical role in healthcare every day. I quickly discovered that transportation is more than moving people from one place to another—it is about reliability, responsibility, and trust.
My background prepared me well for this work. During my years with ComEd, including more than 12 years as a Senior Maintenance Inspector, I managed routes, coordinated operations, monitored compliance, and maintained high standards of safety and performance. Those same principles continue to guide me today.
In addition to my professional experience, I have spent decades serving in ministry as an ordained minister, evangelist, elder, Sunday School teacher, and graduate of Logos Ministerial Institute. These experiences strengthened my commitment to servant leadership, integrity, and helping others reach their potential.
Together with my wife, Dr. Terri A. Simmons, I co-founded Hikari Gateway, LLC. While I provide operational insight and real-world industry experience, Dr. Simmons brings expertise in education, curriculum development, coaching, publishing, and business strategy.
Our combined experience led to the creation of the Courier Ca$h Professional Training Program—a practical introduction to the medical transportation and medical courier industries. The program was developed to help individuals explore employment and business opportunities while gaining a realistic understanding of the industry.
At this stage of my life, I remain committed to learning, serving, and helping others discover new opportunities. Whether you're considering a second career, exploring retirement income options, or looking for a new direction, I believe it's never too late to start a new chapter.
Protect the Package. Respect the Patient. Honor the Client. Deliver the Performance.
